Coursera: An Application for Computer Assisted Language Learning (Week 2)

Coursera Inc. is a U.S.-based massive open online course provider founded in 2012 by Stanford University computer science professors Andrew Ng and Daphne Koller. Coursera works with universities and other organizations to offer online courses, certifications, and degrees in a variety of subjects.
In this course we will learn about: Become familiar with the two types of media: traditional and social media, Compare and contrast traditional and social media using comparative adjectives, Discover the positive and negative aspects of social media, Understand reductions and how to use them in speech and writing, Define and accurately use content-related vocabulary in course activities and games, Read, watch, and listen to a variety of texts and multimedia sources. They also demonstrate your understanding of these texts and key course ideas through comprehension check quizzes and a peer-reviewed written assessment and discussion board response.
